Typhoid und Paratyphoid Fever.
Paratyphoid Fever was not a notifiable disease in Hongkong prior to 1914.
During the early years of the Colony many deaths were ascribed to continued fever. This term gradually fell into disuse with more accurate means of diagnosis, but it is probable that many cases of Paratyphoid Fever were notified as Typhoid Fever and that the term Continued Fever covered both these groupe.
The following table gives the cases of Typhoid and Paratyphoid Fever notified during the years 1913 to 1922.
